Veteran Owned and Operated Business Dedicated to Providing Exceptional Craftsmanship and Services
In 2020, Andre’ Feldman opended his woodworking and repair business intending to start the next chapter of his professional life. Growing up under the wing of a Union Master Carpenter father in the 60’s, 70’s and early 80’s he quickly learned the trade that demanded discipline, attention-to-detail and integrity; all of which were bolstered by being raised in a military family that emulated these core values. You know the sayings: “If your not going to do it right, don’t do it at all!,” or “You should put your best effort into your work no matter how big or small!” I learned those, and many other carpentry, building and leadership skills while working along side my father and his men at places like Vizcaya Gardens (Miami) and Fontainebleau (Miami Beach) where we did custom woodwork installations in the late 70’s and early 80’s. In the early 80’s Andre embarked on a 26 year career in the Navy where he kept his trade skills up by leading carpentry activities supporting Habitat For Humanity, Religious Services “Fix-it” overseas outreach programs, and Eisenhower Away Team (Renovations at Gettysburg NP). Perfecting his trade and continuously building out his work shop in 2019, he designed and built numerous wooden art pieces, wooden decor pieces and host of different tables, mantles, doors and indoor/outdoor furniture for customers who simply heard about his products via word of mouth. His goals remain clear: Harvest sustainable hardwoods to create one-of-a-kind pieces that will serve as tomorrow’s antiques. Remain modest, in providing quality and affordable custom built wooden pieces as well as providing repair and installation services that customers not only deserve, but paid for! In closing, it’s more than a new chapter in his life - it’s a new book that is delivering customers invaluable knowledge, skills and services that they will appreciate and cherish for life.
One of the things that stand out with customers, is their common desire to receive fair, honest and considerate professionalism. Customers simply want custom wood designs and builds that reflect their taste in art and furniture that tell a story; perhaps their story! Now the question. What business can give them what they want? BAWS can. BAWS has literally taken in rough cut pieces of lumber from a customer, and turned them into a family keep sake. BAWS has welcomed the challenge of taking a single picture and turning it into a one-of-a-kind piece of furniture or decor. Even when it comes to smalls (i.e. Small hanging wood art, or a desk pen holder) BAWS has taken a emailed picture of a desired piece, and produced a similar, if not nicer version of the desired piece. Don’t keep saying “I’ll never find that again,” or “I can’t afford that custom manufacturing price,” when you could work with BAWS toward satisfying your custom build, repair or installation needs.
